  • Biological monitoring methods for fish and macroinvertebrates
  • Development and use of biocriteria and relationships to Water Quality Standards
  • Use of biological and habitat data to perform Use Attainability Analyses (UAAs)
  • Habitat assessment using the Qualitative Habitat Evaluation Index (QHEI)
  • Use of biological data to perform stressor identification analyses
Recent and scheduled training classes
(http://www.epa.state.oh.us/dsw/volunteermonitoring/index.html) include:

  • Two-Day Biocriteria and QHEI Habitat Assessment Training
  • Five-Day Credible Data (Biological and Habitat) Training

Most of these training classes have been conducted in cooperation with Ohio EPA, but we have also traveled to other states (e.g., IN, IL, WI) to perform such training.
